My go-to casual shoe.Good productMuy bien todoGreat producto 100% recommendedOne of the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever ordered. It is the perfect Spring, Summer, early Fall shoe. Loved them so much that I bought them in black too!!True to size. Comfortable. Great qualityUncomfortable and narrow fit for bigger feet. Ordered a 13 and it was too tight.I love Toms and I loved these. I have had another pair which I bought in 2019 and wear almost every day. These have fallen apart very severely but it took them two years of heavy abuse to get there. My old pair are a size M11 which translated to a men's 10 in the UK however when ordering the exact same size they actually come up bigger, more like a M11 UK. I'm not sure what is going on with the sizing here but have had to send them back. When you first get toms they are rigid and hard to put on and pretty horrid to be honest. Stick with them for a couple of days and you will be glad you did. They are like slippers for the outside world and the bonus is you can also wear them around the house or the garden or anywhere and they will work.Be aware though they have little to no grip in the wet.I would suggest order a size you need and a size larger and see what you get. Whichever one fits keep and whichever one doesn't send back, just stick to the rules. My expectation of Espadrille‘s is that they are soft comfortable shoes. These shoes are a hard cotton and they cut my feet up. The over the foot section is stitched to the heel section and that had a pointed excess of the hard cloth along with a plastic style thread that stood out from the width of the shoe and cut my feet. I used a nail file to rub this down; but after my holiday the shoes went into a charity bin as i wont be wearing them againTom's espadrilles hold up well as espadrilles go, as they have thicker, more rigid canvas than is typical, including a double layer over the toes.Do note however, that Tom's espadrilles include a glued-in (potentially synthetic?) insole, which means that the straw sole doesn't breathe as well as it would with a normal cotton lining, and the soles of your feet can get sweaty. In addition, they take a little longer to dry out than they should. On the flip side, you get get a much more cushioned feel than you otherwise would. My only major qualm is the price, as espadrilles are typically 10 Euros or so in Spain, due to the that they are 'peasant shoes' made from canvas and straw. A fair markup, all things considered, would make them 18-22 Euros or so - in my opinion.Overall - more solid and better-fitting than an ordinary espadrille, but pricey, and include a sweaty insole that take sages to dry out. I think it's just the convenience of Amazon's 'all-in-one-place' factor that swung it in my case, as it was purchased in combination with some summer clothes as a gift. Otherwise I'd probably have got some real espadrilles on Ebay or somewhere like Alpargatus.com, for under half the price.Bought these cos I loved the design, but unfortunately the fit is pretty bad. I bought M12 (US) as I have two other pairs of non-rope Toms and they fit great at M12, however these are at least half an inch longer despite being supposedly the same size (see sole on images, I was matching the rubber bit up and ignoring the rope). The shoes flopped about like crazy and I walked about 100m before they started to rub my achillies. If you buy, get at least half a size down from what you'd normally wear, these are supposed to be a tight fit, if they are loose send them back.I love these, not great in the wet or bad weather but then I shouldn't be wearing them at a time they are not designed for. Wash well in the machine on 30 deg also.
